The biggest trend for 2006 is that kids are more fashion-conscious younger ages. You may have seen the ads for Old Navy, "Get Your Fash 'On"? They are intended to pre-teens, who are absorbing the message. The 80's Are Back. You may have noticed a trend this year for skinny jeans, ballet shoes inspired by the shoes, pants under skirts, big shirts and big hoop earrings. This is an area that attracts young people, is whimsical and elegant at the same time. Tweens fashion in 2006 was for the Flashdance look in great shape.
